The hotel was as bad as the reviews indicated, so we were out the door half an hour earlier than usual, in search of coffee. We tried at the curiously named “King of Drink” but had to settle for the Wild West Cafe. We left full of caffeine and drinking water and headed out of town.
On the outskirts, we came across a Banh Mi vendor and ordered. First of the trip, and it was great, so another one went into the frame bag for later.

I enjoyed today. We took a lot of back roads. At one point we found ourselves in a military area with a large parade going on and plenty of questioning stares. There were also some bad roads – the kind where the cement only existed in uneven chunks at all angles.

Throughout the day, it was humid. It got to the point where everything felt wet even though no rain had fallen today.

Thai Hoa is definitely a strange place. It looks like the developers of the surrounding suburbs have all gone broke and left cleared land roads without buildings and uninhabited buildings.

Dinner was in the town area. Not particularly appetising but filling.
The hotel was nice but the humidity didn’t change. That meant washing didn’t really dry overnight tonight – a first world problem.
