I was more tired than I expected in the morning, but really happy that the rain didn’t eventuate. Coffee in town and off. Like a lot of country towns, Corowa had a bike path to the outskirts, then a few kms later, I noticed a new bike path beside the road. Brilliant. I spent the next 25 kms on this path which varied from freshly laid to an old dirt path. I pulled into Lake Mulwala and had some lunch in the park (while my front tyre slowly deflated) I only noticed it after I left.
I have a love hate relationship with these tyres. They’re tough, roll well and are great on dirt roads but brother, they are hard to get on and off. It took me more than half an hour to fix and I removed another 3 thorns from the tyre in the process. I later met a swiss guy who got 4 punctures in the same area, so now I feel lucky.
