Day 23 – Bright to Beechworth
Unfortunately, Peter’s 4WD needed some major repairs, so it was towed to Albury. The others arranged a lift home and I continued my trip. I thoroughly enjoyed the short time with the guys and I had to get used to carrying all of my gear again !
I still had to plan my route back to Sydney and had Beechworth to look forward to.I spent the day on the rail trail. These trails are great – no traffic, easy gradient etc, but they’re also very ho-hum.
There are no good downhills, corners or much variety. I got a bit of variety when a car drove down a narrow section of the trail, and I had to get out of the way – never seen that before on a rail trail.
Beechworth is a great looking town, so I’ll stay two nights, and have a look around.
