Day 21 – Eskdale to Anglers Rest
This was a great day following the Mitta Mitta river up into the mountains and then the downhill and beautiful ride into Anglers Rest where we had the obligatory swim, meal and campfire. Today the climb was long and steady but through native forrest with some great views from the top. It’s one of the best day rides I’ve ever done.
Day 22 – Anglers Rest to Bright
More absolutely wonderful riding most of the way to Omeo with some testing hills before town, where we had a coffee and loaded the 4wd for the drive up Mt. Hotham (we’re not silly). At the top, we took it in turns for the downhill – which strangely included some sharp uphills.
At Harrietville, car issues meant that it was towed to Bright while the rest of us rode in. I’m here for at least two nights. Nice town
