I slept in late as the sun warmed my tent. It was glorious. With no deadline, it felt great to just lie there and doze. I’m ashamed to say, I only left the campground at 10am.
As you’d expect, there were some climbs and downhills to get to Mt. Barker for coffee. Then I found some bike paths by chance that linked up to ten or fifteen kms of good quiet gravel roads. Some of the uphills were really steep but the views were great as I passed through the remaining bumps of the Adelaide Hills. By the time I got to Murray Bridge after about 55kms, I’d had enough. I found an early polling booth for the upcoming election and cast my vote. The afternoon’s highlight however, was finding dried Mangoes at Woolies – can’t get enough of ’em.
