Breakfast today, was muesli with bananas and mango. I wish I knew a smart way to cut up a mango, because the mess I made while doing that, was terrible. And unless the mango tastes out-of-this-world, it never seems worth the effort of preparation. It was worth it today though. Yum.
After some Olympic level faffing, we finally left. Sometimes I think I could faff for Australia.

We made our way out of town via the lake which was beautiful but the area was empty of people. Phutthaisong seems to be a nice place with a good atmosphere and people are making an effort.

There was very little traffic, and some nice roads. It was quiet meandering cycling and we found an unlikely looking coffee shop. We had coffee and homeade Bao Buns / dumplings for 2nd breakfast. The ladywho ran the place, had worked at Bangkok airport years ago and learned English. She then got married and moved back.

She recommended a temple – Wat Phra That Na Dun along the way, so we went there and had a look around. They were preparing for the lunar new year festival and the whole grounds are quite impressive. The central piece was a large Stupa which I don’t see many of in Thailand.

The temple itself was being renovated so we didn’t see much, but lunch was beckoning. Another great pork Kuay Teow (noodle soup).

The rest of the day was peaceful, not stunning and without drama. Arriving in Wapi Pathum, we craved ice cream and grabbed some at the Lotus Shopping Centre before finding the hotel. It’s a little out of town so at dinner time we rode into town and surveyed the food on offer.

There were lots of food vendors but no place to eat, so we loaded up and took it back to the hotel. I had made a bad choice and most of it ended up in the bin unfortunately.
