I made my breakfast, packed and headed into town, down THAT hill and out of Youghal.
I was on a fairly major road, but there was no traffic until I came to the really major road, where I’d be for a few kms. If I’d stayed on it, I would have been in Dungarvan in 26 more kms but there were way too many trucks. Instead, I loosely followed the EV1, went up a big hill and then went through some beautiful farmland before descending and crossing the major road again. It’s distant coastal views were great.
I rejoined the coastline at Ardmore and stopped for an early lunch. Their toasties were much better than yesterday’s and everyone in the cafe said hello as I walked in. There’s something about the friendliness here in Ireland. That and their trusting nature is unique.
After that, it was coastal undulations all the way to An Ring before a climb and then into Dungarvan nice and early.
It was a pretty short day but full of coastline views and blue skies.
SPAIN – now you really got my attention!!
You’re easily amused
I’ve got a week, here in San Sebastian and then I have until Xmas to get to the Algarve – for Xmas with the kids. Not sure about the route yet
Yes I am, sometimes. Had to Google where the Algarve is – should be awesome whichever way you go – looking forward to following along!
Hey John – mate, you take many great photos but the one of the cow grazing in front of the vast ocean is a beauty
Thanks mate. When I noticed that the light was a bit weird due to the clouds, I stood there and took half a dozen shots, and that one turned out best.
Thanks for following along !
John
